Using Gmail's send as functionality with zoneout

Hi ZoneEdit,

I have just purchased credits and added zone out to my Bonestroo.nu domain. I added a password and am now trying to use this through gmail. I keep getting authentication failed, can you please help?

Hello,

The username is wrong. The username should be the domain name you purchased the Zoneout service on.

Ah, so the SMTP protocol then still contains the information necessary to determine the from address?

In this case, sending email as henk@bonestroo.nu will work if the login is something else entirely?

Yes, the from address is in the email protocol itself and so this works fine.

Correct, the from address is in the envelope, and you're simply authenticating with our SMTP server to send that message.
