Trying to add primary DNS: " x.x.x.x does not appear to resolve to a host name. You should double check that this was entered correctly."

I am using zoneedit for secondary DNS. I have been using it for years when it stopped fetching updates sometime in the last week or two. In order to try and fix this I have been trying to update the nameservers and the master NS it will fetch the zone from. This is where I have hit a problem.

I am trying to add (update) a the primary nameserver address for my domain however when I enter the IP address I get the following error:

"X.X.X.X does not appear to resolve to a host name. You should double check that this was entered correctly."

I have tried putting in a hostname and then it tells me it expects an IP address.

Because this is the primary NS, it should be an IP address (as it cannot resolve it until the DNS is up and running.

Is this a bug ?
