Primary Name Server Not Listed At Parent

Hi,

Getting a problem on MXToolBox reporting SOA has a problem and also getting emails bounced. Are the two problems connected. Plwease advise.

we use an unpublished primary and thats what causes the
Primary Name Server Not Listed At Parent error

for email.. what is the domain name of concern?

Hi, the domain name is norfolk-luxury-cottages.co.uk. We did have a problem a while back where the rDNS had been removed by the ISP after the service was changed, but I have checked this, using MXToolBox, and that is all OK. There is also an additional error regarding the SOA, it says the date is wrong.

the date is not wrong... just in a format they are not looking for. We use the EPOCH format for our zone serial numbers.

what are the error messages on the bounced emails?

The bounce error is:

'The error that the other server returned was: 550 5.7.1 Recipient not authorized, your IP has been found on a block list'

Again checked this from MXToolBox and the domain is not listed on any RBL that I can see.

This error was the same when the rDNS was missing, so that is why I looked at this first, but when the SOA stuff came up I wondered if there was a link. I know most pages state that SOA would not cause bounced emails, just a bit of a delay when checking. Now I don't know where to look.

can you reply wit the full bounced headers so I can see the server and IP that is accused of being blacklisted?
