I don't understand your question:
"for
tmorse@udctours.com.... why is it being sent to a zoneedit mailserver when zoneedit is listed as the tertiary mailserver? is that a setting you have created?"
Zoneedit's mail server is listed currently in my mx records with lowest priority because it doesn't work. I tried it with highest priority, and it failed.
Here's what I did, step by step:
1. I set up mx record and mailmaps to forward from @udctours.com to other addresses, following the video provided on your site:
(mx record for udctours.com set to "LOCAL", priority "0")
2. I tested it, and the zoneedit mail server bounced the email attempt with this error:
3. Since
tmorse@terrymorse.com was listed in my mail map, I concluded that zoned mail forwarding is broken, so I demoted the "LOCAL" mx record to priority "99", and hired a service that works correctly (greatmail).
4. The highest priority mail servers that greatmail has provided work like a charm, including forwarding of @udctours.com to @terrymorse.com.
