Error page when attempting to delegate name servers

I need to delegate DNS to AWS for a new hosting provider.

The NS edit page says: "To point this domain to your own or third party nameservers, (and not the nameservers provided by easyDNS), use the "Whois Editor via the "whois" link on the Domain Information page". "

But when i click this link i see an error:
"Error
There was a problem talking to the registry. The error was:
Registry Error: Backend error"

This is required for an urgent operational change, so please let me know when this error is resolved.

The name server change needs to be done at the domain name registrar.

OK, so to confirm, Zoneedit doesnt allow delegating nameservers?

The registrar is managed by our client, which is a large educational provider with an IT department which is unlikely to be responsive in providing any assistance. It would be best if we could make this change through zoneedit

Name servers can only be delegated at the registrar. You cannot set up authoritative name servers through ZoneEdit because ZoneEdit is not the registrar for the domain name.
