Update ip-update script bash linux

Hi,

I am using a linux machine as part of my setup and it’s quite convenient to have this one (among with other things to process), as a dedicated “up-update script” to ZoneEdit.

Unfortunately I haven’t updated it since ZoneEdit put EOL to the http and only allow https, which I only welcome (everyone’s update of level up security issues).

Since my ISP doesn’t release the IP address on a short period basis. Therefore I could have accepted the manual update of IP address at ZoneEdit in theirs web UI.
But now I have had enough…

So I need some help with the technique to use in bash, so that I can inbound it for updates in the the update script. That script has basically has just been run as a cronjob.
When the script were active and live running a couple of years ago it basically just logged in to ZoneEdit and entered the “IP from some third part as “my-ip.com”.

Can someone that have som more knowledge than me please help me with either where I shall start digging or if there is some ready part for download that I am not aware of yet (at least in the time for eol of https there weren’t published that info).

Best regards
