Subdomain

Hi ZoneEdit,

I need to create a separate DNS zone as a subdomain.

We currently have a domain registered "mydomain.com"
We need to register another domain with its own DNS records to be modified or "sub.mydomain.com"

Is this possible for us to get this applied to our account or purchase the subdomain?

Hi! If your root zone is managed through ZoneEdit, you don't need to add a second zone for a subdomain. You can create records for the subdomain via the zone for the root domain name. If that's not what you want to do, let me know why you wish to have a separate zone for the subdomain.

Our root zone is hosted by Zone Edit. We would like to have a separate zone for the subdomain and manage it separately please.

Hello,

It is possible. If you purchase credits to use for the subdomain, you will be able to send an email to ZoneEdit support to have us add the subdomain manually.
