CURRENT PROBLEM: We use GMail. We receive Direct Deposits emails which come from our Finance Software vendor. The vendor uses the user@example.us (real address withheld) email as the "from" address. I'm trying to eliminate the warning from GMail that we "may be spoofed."
In the Original I see
"ARC-Authentication-Results: i=1; mx.google.com;
spf=softfail (google.com: domain of transitioning user@example.us (real address withheld) does not designate (vendor's IP address goes here) as permitted sender) smtp.mailfrom=user@example.us
So, in the TXT Advanced area of ZoneEdit I added "@" + "v=spf1 include:_(vendor's IP address) ~all"
Is this the correct syntax? Or should it be "@" + "v=spf1 include:_(vendor's IP address) ~SOFTFAIL" or perhaps
"v=spf1 include:_something.vendor.com ~all"
