I'm having difficulty sending emails to the mailmap I set up for my partner. Emails are either delayed, or if really bad, delayed so much that they are returned to me. This has been happening intermittently for months (possibly since at least April) but seems to be getting worse more recently - possibly especially so at the weekends.

When traced at MS's end there are typically multiple DEFER events with errors like this one:
