MX Record with static IP

I finally have a static IP and a reverse lookup so I can get my mail service up and running. YAY! When I try to set up the MX record, I get this warning "mail.e-pro.ca does not appear to be a valid server" I'm creating the MX record as HOST = @, Mailserver = mail.e-pro.ca. Pref = 10, and TTL = Default. Then it gives me the above warning. It seems to accept it and I can live with that, but the MX seems to be published as "Answer e-pro.ca. 28800 MX 10 e-pro.ca." and missing the "mail.e-pro.ca' hostname. My email server is mail.e-pro.ca so I would think it was valid. Can you tell me what I am missing or doing wrong? Please and thank you in advance. Todd

hi there, at the domains registrar the domain is delegated to:

Name Server: ns1.dnsexit.com
Name Server: ns2.dnsexit.com
Name Server: ns3.dnsexit.com
Name Server: ns4.dnsexit.com

to use zoneedit for DNS that would need to be changed to:
dns1.zoneedit.com
dns2.zoneedit.com

mail.e-pro.ca does not exist as a host record on the non zoneedit nameservers.. thus the error.

regards.

My friend, you are AWESOME. I should have caught that myself because I know better. I just haven't done this for a few years so I am always like a new user. Maybe worse. I little knowledge can be a dangerous thing... LOL
