Since forwarding to a yahoo account is not working, I adjusted mailmap to point to a gmail account. The specified name works but the default using asterix * is not working. I have tried modifying line but it did not make it work.

Seems like the problem was sending from one gmail account to another gmail account. It is possible that gmail tried to handle that internally. When I changed the reply to address to my domain, I received the mail. Otherwise it only showed up in the sent folder and never got to my in basket.
