Mail forwarding, DNS and what entries to change

I would like to use Zoneedit for my mail forwarding since my registrar offers by a few in my current subscription. My mailbox is included with my registrar, and I’d like to keep it there. For this, I need to change the DNS servers to those of ZoneEdit. Do I change the MX entry as well? I don’t know which part of the configuration handles the mail forwarding. Is this possible at all?

I want to do this for OmdatIT.nl by the way. I use it commercially, so this will be a paid for solution.

hi there.. when you say: My mailbox is included with my registrar... i am assuming you have their MX record currently delegated. If you were to use zoneedit for mail forwarding then the MX record would have to change to that of zoneedit and you would lose that mail box you already have with the registrar. if i am understanding correctly?

regards.

Currently my DNS, mail forwarding and my mailbox itself is at my registrar. I’m looking for a way to use their mailbox and your mail forwarding. My MX record currently is 10 mx.transip.email.

hi again.. to use zoneedit for mail forwarding the MX record would have to change to be that of zoneedit.. as such you would not be able to use your mail box with at your registrar with mx.transip.email..

regards.
