Domain Status Meanings

I need to know what the different domain statuses mean, is there a page somewhere or can somebody provide all the possible values and definitions? We have the following 3 shown.

Active
Inactive
On Hold
 
hi there.

Active means we have a valid zone file and will publish it if our nameservers are delegated
Inactive.. this status is set by the account holder.. the domain will not resolve nor use any credits. it acts as a place holder for future use.
On Hold... this is generally a credits issue. either there are no credits in the account to pay for DNS services or the domain name is registered with zoneedit and has expired.
