creating MX records in advance of delegating DNS to zoneedit

Hi,

I added a new domain to my account. Before I point the DNS to zoneedit, I wanted to set up MX records so that there is no outage of email. It seems that I have to set the DNS first before that option becomes active.

Is there a way to avoid an outage on email? Should I first create MX records using the registrar's facilities?

the zone file you create on your domain with zoneedit will not be live until you delegate zoneedit nameserver at the domain registrar.
You should be able to create the zone file now via the DNS settings links.. is tat not available to you? If so please let me know
the domain name of concern.
