How does the switch registrar thing work.

I recently tried to claim a URL that belongs to ZoneEdit and was parked. I am interested in buying the domain and transferring it to Bluehost but I saw that there is a $15 charge and there is a notice that says that it expires within a year. Once it expires, will I have to pay the 15$ again or will the charge go up after I've purchased it for a year? is there any way I can buy the domain so that I won't have to pay Zoneedit anymore? How can I go about doing this?

Hello. In order successfully use the SWITCH REGISTRAR, you must already be the registrant/owner of the domain name. Try contacting the owner of the domain name listed on the WHOIS record. You can do a WHOIS lookup at https://www.easywhois.com
