Have tried various web-based resolvers as well with same results, definitely not a local network problem.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are investigating what went wrong with those servers, and in the mean time I have changed the pointing of those hostnames to other functioning servers so allowing for propagation time for those changes you should see this working again.

I already changed mine from ns7 and ns12 to ns8 and ns13... both in my registrar and NS records... are those dns servers ok ?

Hello I noticed the same problème for one of my domains today. Apparently it also happened a week ago (on Sunday as well).
Any explanation from zoneedit ?

Apologies for the inconvenience.

The issue was with our upstream provider. We had fixed the issue 20 hours ago and ns3, ns7 & ns12 are all up and responding

I'm seeing this issue with NS ns7.zoneedit.com and ns12.zoneedit.com again - we have 2 domains not resolving that use theses. All of our other zone edit NS domains seem fine.

Lookup has started…
frankelja.org -> The operation couldn’t be completed. (kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 2.)

I also submitted a ticket on this

thanks

No response from ns7 or ns12.
I tried to submit a support ticket and it says I am not a paid customer.
I have 4 domains registered thru zoneedit and 85 credits on file.
What else do I have to do to be considered a paid customer????

It has been up and down over the last few hours. For the last several hours both ns3.zonedit.com and ns12.zoneedit.com that cover my sites have been down. Still down. This is becoming a common occurrence with zonedit. I've been a customer for many, many years, but the last few months of service has been absolutely atrocious.

Both of your nameservers are in the NYC datacenter, which has been flakey lately (in fact our upstream just informed us they have to shut down that DC so we need to relocate that POP next month.

Try switching ns3 over to ns4, and ns12 over to ns14, that will put you in Zurich and San Jose. If you want to stay in North America than go with ns5 instead of ns4.

This will put you in Miami and San Jose (east coast / west coast), you should ideally be in two different data centers.

(we're going to be running a process to identify all the domains who have both nameservers in a single datacenter and email those users to get them to switch their delegations to gain that extra redundancy)
