Hi I am unable to get my domain to point to my home server. I have used ddns services from my asus router in the past.

Domain is scubafossil.com

Using a USG as router now. (Ubiquiti Unifi Security Gateway)

right now my domain just says parked when i go to it.

Hello there,

I'm showing a Dynamic record setup pointing to an IP and not our parking page. Were you able to get your router to connect?

The most common issue is using your Zoneedit username and password to connect to the DDNS service when it actually requires your Username and DYN Authentication Token which you get by editing the Dynamic Record section of your DNS Settings page.

Hi Chris,

Apparently I did set it up correctly just needed to wait. I switched it to my token last night before sleep, and I guess I made too many changes expecting it to be instant. I am trying now to make "subdomains?" now I put in a server.scubafossil.com to cname pointing to scubafossil:7777 I believe this is correct config, will check in an hour. Do I only get 3 of these with taking that survey?

Thank you Chris for getting back with me, sorry for the newb questions.

Thanks,
scubafossil

If you take the survey you get 3 slots. If you do take the survey and do not get the extra 2 slots just let me know and I'll fix it.

I'm not entirely sure if the URL forward will work in the fashion that you have it set up for those sub-domains.

It's intended to forward the subdomain of "server.scubafossil.com" to "http://<targeturl>". I noticed you were missing the http:// in your setup.
