MX issues with legacy DNS

I've had problems the last couple of days receiving emails on my self-hosted email server, which had been working fine with ZoneEdit for several years. I can telnet into my email server, so it still appears to be working.
The MX record that I set up at ZoneEdit is pointing to my server at port 2525 (since port 25 is blocked by my ISP). When I use any online tools to query my MX record, they indicate that my MX record is pointing to mx-caprica.zoneedit.com instead of my mail server. Domain is bytejockeys.com Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

When you port forward to a mailserver it will go through our mailserver first so an MX lookup would show a zoneedit mailserver.
What sort of problems have you experienced?

Emails sent to my server are not being received. For example, I sent an email 2 hours ago from a webmail account on a different domain and it hasn't arrived at my server yet.

ahh. we have been added to some blacklists due to a large spammer that we had to ferret out yesterday. We have removed the offender and are now working on getting de-listed.
