Trying to get dynamic updates working again

From a linux machine running ASTLinux

ddclient.conf

daemon=900
syslog=yes # log update msgs to syslog
use=web, web=ddns.ckts.info/checkip.php/
ssl=yes
server=api.cp.zoneedit.com/dyn/generic.php
protocol=zoneedit1
wildcard=YES
login=mylogin

FAILED: updating myhost.mydomain.com: 700: Hostname error

What is the Hostname error?
