Dynamic DNS that serves a subdomain

Hi,

I have a domain in GoDaddy. Let's say "example.com" and I have a hosting with static IP for the main domain which works fine.

I want that requests arriving to a subdomain, for example "sub.example.com" are attended by another machine that has dynamic IP.

Could you please help me to figure out how can I solve this?

Thank you!

did you want to keep the DNS for the parent domain at godaddy and have zoneedit provide the DNS for the sub domain only?

thanks

Yes, that is the idea. Actually I managed to solve it.

What I did was to import my DNS records to ZoneEdit and then change the nameservers to dns1.zoneedit.com and dns2.zoneedit.com. Then I created the dynamic dns and now it works great.

Thanks

Fred
