Hello,
A domain will be set to inactive if the Nameservers on the domain are not pointing to Zoneedit.
In the case of catholicfamilyservices.org, it's using GoDaddy's default nameservers:

FYI: the DNS for catholicfamilyservices.org was set to inactive in our system on January 27, 2017. If the NS records are not changed to use ours (dns1.zoneedit.com & dns2.zoneedit.com) then the system will deactivate the DNS services again.
