Email mappings don't work anymore

Hi, I have several email mappings from my domain to my email accounts, but they haven't worked since yesterday at least. The messages either fail due to a "temporary problem" or they get swallowed without a trace. Can anything be done? Thanks.

Hi Seth,

the domain is not currently using our services: and was updated 20-mar-2017 ... but I do not know what but could have been the nameservers:

Domain Name: SUN-ROGERS.COM
Registrar: REGISTER.COM, INC.
Sponsoring Registrar IANA ID: 9
Whois Server: whois.register.com
Referral URL: http://www.register.com
Name Server: NS1641.ZTOMY.COM
Name Server: NS2641.ZTOMY.COM
Status: clientTransferProhibited https://icann.org/epp#clientTransferProhibited
Updated Date: 20-mar-2017
Creation Date: 01-mar-2003
Expiration Date: 01-mar-2021

and there is also no MX record.

the zoneedit nameservers that were delegated should have been :
ns12.zoneedit.com.
ns14.zoneedit.com.

thanks

yes you can only modify delegated nameservers at the registrar.

I am also facing similar problem. I have 7 mailmaps in my domain Kerala optometry.org and none of them are working now.

Hi Arun

the domain optometry.org is not pointing to zoneedit nameservers at its registrar network solutions.
Currently:
Name Server: WEBTERMINATOR2.CRYSTALTECH.COM
Name Server: WEBTERMINATOR1.CRYSTALTECH.COM

and the current mail servers are:

host -t mx optometry.org
optometry.org mail is handled by 10 alt3.aspmx.l.google.com.
optometry.org mail is handled by 10 alt4.aspmx.l.google.com.
optometry.org mail is handled by 5 alt2.aspmx.l.google.com.
optometry.org mail is handled by 1 aspmx.l.google.com.
optometry.org mail is handled by 5 alt1.aspmx.l.google.com.

if you wanted to use zoneedit then at the domains registrar you would need to delegate:

ns2.zoneedit.com.
ns4.zoneedit.com.

and then the mailmaps you created on your zoneedit interface would work.

thanks
sandy

I am not receiving email from my mapped adresses. My domain is using zoneedit name servers. I just changed them to ns2 and ns4 per this thread.

Thanks!

hi there

earthlink is blocking our mailservers at present. I have copied a bounced header I received sending you a test message and have sent that to earthlink with an unblock request. Earthlink suggests that the actual earthlink customer send in the un block request. If you can, please contact them at blockedbyearthlink@abuse.earthlink.net and enter the subject line:
Blocked <23.27.50.10>

and in the body oifthe message enter your earthlink email address and copy this text:

lorigardnerwilson@earthlink.net> (expanded from <test@pennantsystems.com>):
host mx1.earthlink.net[209.86.93.226] said: 550 IP 23.27.50.10 is
blocked
by EarthLink. Go to earthlink.net/block for details. (in reply to
MAIL FROM
command)

thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.

thanks
sandy
